TOPTOR - the electronic football goal

Goal wall-shooting is out - TOPTOR is in!

After over 30 years of traditional goal wall-shooting, it's impossible to surprise or enthuse anyone anymore with "three up, three down". TOPTOR is interactive, realistic, exciting, sociable, and also offers more than you might imagine for people who aren't football enthusiasts. It isn't only football fans who are thrilled, and TOPTOR always gets high visitor numbers at every event!

It is fully electronic, allowing all sorts of competitions to be held. The TOPTOR's intricate technology enables shot measuring accuracy like no other module worldwide. TOPTOR is based on a conventional youth goal ( 5 x 2m). Other goal sizes are also possible. The goal is divided into a grid pattern using sensors in the posts and crossbar. A computer programme then determines where the ball hit within the goal and converts this into points. The highest TOPTOR score of 100 points is achieved with a shot into the upper goal corners. Additionally, the exact shot speed is calculated using a fixed kick point and distance-time measurement. Thus the measurement begins when the ball is kicked and stops when it comes into contact with the light-beam grid. It couldn't be more precise.

This results in different types of possible games. At events, we offer the _3 of 5_ mode. Here, each person shooting has five goes at the TOPTOR and the three best shots are ranked. Of the 87,000 previous participants, not one has yet achieved the highest possible score of 300 points, the equivalent of three accurate corner shots.

Another game is _Football Darts_. As in a game of darts, a set number of points are shot down to zero. Here, several players can compete against each other.

A further game variety is "Beauty Soccer". By integrating two electronic football goals into one playing area, entirely new types of game become possible. Without a goalkeeper, one can for instance play 5 vs. 5. What's interesting here: it isn't the team with the most goals but with the highest point-score that wins. For example, one team gains 180 points with two goals, the other team only 160 points with 5 goals. If players get to shoot at the goal unhindered, they have the chance to shoot more accurately and so gain high scores (a reminder: corner hits = 100 points). The players of the opposing team notice very quickly that this must be stopped: a playful and modern way to develop defensive skills. The opposition must then try to use quick passes to create spaces and then use these for precise goal-shooting. Within a very short time, a fast game ensues, with lots of fun, activity, and a great learning effect.

Free kicks provide an alternative. One can choose a position and distance from which to shoot at the TOPTOR. Analysis of the points on the monitor leave no doubt as to who shoots the best free kicks. The motivation is a different one to when a player shoots at an empty goal. Here he has the chance to aim for 100 points, and he knows: 90 points aren't enough - I can do better! Thus training tends to last longer because performance is measurable.

All of our TOPTORS can be networked with each other via the Internet, so that TOPTOR leagues can for instance be played in indoor sports halls. It is also possible to provide public viewing on German Football League match days. After the Football League games, viewers can compete against each other at TOPTOR-shooting. Here the halls' operators can attract more people into the halls and keep them there longer, increasing revenues. You can also use our TOPTOR at events of all types and sizes: starting with the supporting programme for the UEFA European Cup, it can also be used at public viewing events for the Football World Cup or for club celebrations at the start of the football season. It can be used at city fetes, funfairs, football tournaments (indoor/outdoor), or on a smaller scale at children's birthday parties, company events, jubilees, product launches, and even as a piece of training technology for professional footballers. Given an even surface that is large enough, there are no limits to where and how the TOPTOR can be used.
